Back in 2018, I worked on a Christmas special for Magic Light Pictures at Triggerfish Animation Studios. It was a short film adaptation of the children's book Zog, written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The film features a school for fledgling dragons who are all eager to discover the secrets of how to roar, fly and breath fire! Among the class is the Red Dragon, the first out of all the dragons to breathe fire, for which he recieves a gold star. I got to texture and shade his young and old variants.
Featured here are the beauty, diffuse albedo and specular passes as well as contextual renders from the film.
